Inspiration Board Wednesday: Glimmering Art Deco

I waited a while on posting this since everyone and their mother was posting a Great Gatsby-esque board!  But it was SOOO hard not to...I mean, look at those shoes!!  I want them...badly.  Of course, I wouldn't be able to walk in them but they sure would look amazing on!

I think there could be two ways to approach this board.  On one hand, the dark moodiness of it just screams mystery and elegance.  But on the other hand, it could so easily be softened up by using the black sparingly and just focusing on the creams and golds.  Bold graphic patterns would play such an important role in the stationery and cake.  And foil stamped paper goods are all the rage right now and would very much fit in with the overall feel.  The men would look really quite dapper in classic tuxes and simple bouts.  Of course, the location for an event like this is crucial.  A location that has an art deco vibe wouldn't make this theme feel out of place or like a costume party.  Everything would feel like it belonged there.
